The Brechet family has the good fortune of running this fairly large winery, with sixty-five acres of Gigondas. Grenache makes up two-thirds of the plantings and the wines are vinifled using indigenous yeasts when possible, in the traditional concrete tanks of the region. Care is taken not to push the extraction too far, as the terroir here has a natural tendency toward hard tannins. The wines are structured showing grace and finesse, and tend to age marvelously.
