The 2013 Chablis 1er Cru Montmains has a subtle, but seductive nose. This is nuanced Montmains, reserved at first, but be patient because that mineral drive gradually surfaces with aeration. The palate is fresh and crisp, touches of lime and Granny Smith apples forming the mid-palate with a nicely poised, refined finish that just glides toward its conclusion. Not bad considering the vintage.
