Exhibiting nut-infused aromas of minerals, the Meursault Clos Du Cromin is a light-to-medium-bodied, well-crafted, tangy, and silky-textured wine. This offering's delicious gravel, hazelnut, spicy oak, and crisp pear flavors are somewhat marred by a slight hollowness in the mid-palate. Drink it by 2001. The score, noted on a range and in parentheses, indicates that the wine was tasted from barrel. Readers need to search out these offerings as they offer superb values for outstanding white Burgundies. With its muted nose just barely revealing dusty nuts, the Meursault Clos du Cromin is a thick-textured wine full of candied nuts and a tangy, stony finish.
