This discreet Champagne house on the Cote des Bar relies on a ninety-one-acre sloping vineyard that is predominantly planted to pinot noir, with chardonnay plantings in Cramant and other pinot vines in Bouzy and Ambonnay. The top Cham-pagne, Carte d'Or, is mainly made from pinot noir, while La Grande Senores, from a separate parcel of old vines, contains roughly equal quantities of chardonnay and pinot. All in all, if you like vinous Cham?pagnes, Drappier is for you.
