The 2021 Artifacts Cabernet Sauvignon is supple, fine and detailed in the mouth. Layers of char, graphite, coal, star anise, clove, cassis and blackberry litter the palate with flavor. This is usually around the $40 (AUD) mark, and very good-value-for-money, classy drinking, at that. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

2020 was a warm, short vintage in Margaret River and was largely defined by low yields and abundantly fruited wines. The tannins are equally abundant, as a general rule. So, the 2020 Artifacts Cabernet Sauvignon is all of that: structured, plush and succulent, with layers of blood plum, pomegranate, raspberry coulis, pink peppercorn and a satisfying splay of exotically spiced tannin through the finish.
