The 2009 Angosto Los Almendros is composed of equal parts Garnacha Tintorera, Syrah, and Marselan aged for 15 months in French oak. Smoke, mineral, and a confiture of black fruits inform the bouquet of this attractive blend. Succulent raspberry flavors and lively acidity compose the wine’s lively personality and lead to a lengthy, seamless, fruit-filled finish. It, too, will evolve for 1-2 years but can be approached now.
Bodega El Angosto’s new releases are outstanding.
