Ferraton's 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape Le Parvis is a bit tarry to start, easing into scents of black olives and plum. It's medium to full-bodied, not that rich or concentrated, but soft, silky and easy to drink, with just a bit of astringency on the finish.

The full-bodied, creamy-textured 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape Le Parvis is an attractive, drink-now version of Chateauneuf. Black cherries, cola and dark chocolate all swirl together on the nose, leavened with a dusting of savory spices. There's ample concentration and a lingering finish, making this a solid offering, even if it's not destined for a particularly long evolution.

A notable effort, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape le Parvis is a blend of 70% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre, all aged in concrete. It's full-bodied and silky but firm, with crunchy, fresh strawberry and raspberry fruit, finishing long and intense.

A blend of 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah from several different soil types, all raised in concrete, the 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape le Parvis is an approachable yet complex effort. Cherry and stone fruit notes are dressed up by an array of dried spices, ranging from pepper, clove and anise to cardamom, cinnamon and allspice. Drink this full-bodied, supple and mouthwatering wine anytime over the next decade.

The 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Le Parvis comes from a mix of terroirs, was completely destemmed and brought up all in concrete tanks. It offers lots of smoky, peppery, meaty characteristics as well as ample darker fruits, medium to full-bodied richness, solid density and a great finish. It will drink nicely through 2025.
