Attractive aromas of cherries, orange blossom, nutmeg and bark. Medium-bodied, firm and structured with a red-fruited, slightly watery center palate. Polished and textured with a mineral finish. Try from 2026.

Showing ripe fruit aromas of cherry confit or dried apricot, the Giacomo Fenocchio 2017 Barolo Cannubi exposes the undeniable imprint of this very hot and dry vintage and coming from a southeast-facing slope at a lowish 280 meters in altitude. The aromas are soft and slightly muddled although we can hold out hope that this Nebbiolo with flesh out with more aging time in the bottle. Approximately 3,000 bottles were released.

A supple style, this delivers cherry, earth, iron and tobacco flavors on a graceful frame. Balanced and firmly structured, with a lingering finish of tobacco and mineral. Best from 2023 through 2045. 300 cases made, 100 cases imported.??–BS??Region: Italy / Piedmont / Barolo Select to Add

The 2016 Barolo Cannubi is an open-knit and accessible expression with aromas of dark fruit, leather and cured tobacco. Those savory and earthy characteristics come from the fruit, but they also come from the barrels used to age the wine. There is a touch of sour bitterness or astringency that distracts from the excellent fruit obtained in the 2016 vintage.

Cherry, leafy vegetal and sun-kissed hay aromas and flavors are the main themes here, featuring tar, tobacco and mineral elements in supporting roles.
