The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières has turned out nicely, offering up aromas of pear, white flowers, orange oil and pastry cream. Medium to full-bodied, elegantly fleshy and precise, it's bright and lively, concluding with a saline finish.

Wafting from the glass with a pretty bouquet of vine blossom, white peach, citrus oil and pastry cream, the 2018 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières is elegantly satiny, fine-boned and precise, with a delicate core of fruit, racy acids and a long, tangy finish. This is a bright, incisive Folatières from Chartron.

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières reveals an inviting bouquet of ripe yellow citrus fruit, beeswax, fresh peaches and fresh white flowers. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant, with a layered mid-palate, lovely purity and a mouthwatering finish.

The 2016 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru les Folatieres offers quite a generous bouquet with subtle hints of passion fruit and lychee filtering through the citrus fruit. The palate is rounded, quite rich with a honeyed texture, powerful and lightly spiced with an insistent finish that lingers in the mouth. It is a bullish and comparatively outgoing Folatières that will hopefully gain mineralité before bottling to "complete" the wine.
