The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon 25th Anniversary (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) possesses abundant aromas of acacia flowers, graphite and black currants as well as a medium to full-bodied, stylish, elegant, mineral-dominated personality. The tannins have resolved beautifully, but the color remains a young, intense purple. The wine appears to be nearly fully mature, but is capable of improving for another 3-5 years and lasting 15-20 more years. Michael Keenan has done an incredible job over the last decade, and his 2001s admirably demonstrate the fabulous potential of his wines.
