This is showing a rich array of sour cherries, figs, coffee beans, walnuts, dried cranberries and tobacco on the nose. Full-bodied and bold, with muscular tannins and a deep fruit and nut character. Fantastic intensity. Try in 2026.

There are both fruity and savory elements in this red, from small red fruits and freshly mown hay to more complex notes of chocolate-covered cherries. The 2019 Barolo La Serra (with fruit from 55-year-old vines in La Morra) is beautifully fine and delicate both in appearance and delivery. Aromas of wild cherry, blue flower and lightly toasted spice emerge with balanced intensity. The team at Mauro Molino is always attentive to the smallest details, and this meticulous approach is evident in this very precise wine. It shows a very lively quality to the palate. Production is limited to 2,708 bottles.

Rich, exuding plum, cherry, earth, mint and mineral flavors shaded by toasty oak, which remains well-concealed in the background. This has intensity and energy driving a lingering aftertaste of fruit, mineral and savory components. Fine balance and complexity.
