The Mauro Molino 2018 Langhe Dolcetto is a soft and delicate expression of the grape. Getting the rambunctious Dolcetto to act in such a subdued manner comes as an unexpected surprise. The cool vintage is at work here, as is the hands-off winemaking approach. The wine pours from the bottle with a lean-bodied personality and plenty of red berry fruit, pressed flowers, moist earth and dried mint. If you are looking for an affordable red wine to pair (even slightly chilled) this summer, look no further. Some 10,000 bottles were released.
