A very seriously run Champagne house, with vineyards somewhat off the beaten track for a producer of this standing. This is because in 1971 it was taken over by a wine co-op in Chateau Thierry, at the west¬ern tip of the AOC area and the Marne Val¬ley vineyards. It nevertheless produces a range of wines that deliver a pure and hon¬est expression of the Champagne appella¬tion; the pi not-d riven cuvees take terroi r character to another dimension.
