Pierre Gonon

Domaine Gonon is a very small estate in Saint-Joseph. All of its wines are refined and honest, though we do have to admit a preference for the reds: solid, with firm tan-nins and honest expression of fruit. Among the whites, the Cuvee Les Oliviers shows sincerity but not always enough freshness. Kudos to this estate for its adroit handling of recent vintages, especially the 2005 and 2006. This is certainly one of the most reli-able Saint-Joseph estates.
