The 2007 TINTO is a “big three” Douro blend of 55% Touriga Nacional, 25% Tinta Roriz and 20% Touriga Franca, aged for 12 months in 35% new barrels. ?For the basic Tinto, this is quite a success, brighter and more “l(fā)ifted” than the ’06 Reserva, with good focus and delineation, and delicious fruit. This precise and well structured wine is nicely balanced and develops well, becoming softer and more flavourful, without quite losing focus. If it does not have the mid-palate concentration of the best wines from this Quinta, it is quite acceptable in its price range. Drink now-2016.
