The 1990 Barolo Rocche de la Morra reveals deeper color than the 1989 Barolo Vigna Francesco, as well as more concentration and depth. It offers an impressive opaque dark ruby color, explosive ripeness, a supple, rich, concentrated style, with gobs of fruit, and a long, moderately tannic finish. It will be approachable early in life and will age well for 15 or more years. Given how good the wines of this producer performed, I am surprised they are not more readily found in export markets. No known American importer.
