The 2010 Garnacha (70%) – Tempranillo (30%) fermented and aged in tank. Spice box, violets, incense, and black cherry aromas set the stage for a ripe, round, easy-going red with good balance and length. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.
Bodega San Jose de Aguaron is a large cooperative in the DO of Carinena that controls approximately 1200 hectares with 60% of the vines consisting of Garnacha, 70% of them over 50 years of age. All of their Carinena holdings are bush vines over 45 years of age. Its main brand is labeled Monasterio de las Vinas.
