The 2007 Lagrein S. Pietro is unusually racy and harmonious in its perfumed dark red fruit. This is an exuberant, fruit-driven style of Lagrein, and while some varietal character is missing, that may very well be nit-picking at this level, as the wine delivers incredible quality for the money.
