This is a wine that reflects the classically deep fruit and the vagaries of the vintage. It opens with a bit of high-toned volatility, which heightens the flavors and brightens the wine, but may attenuate the ageability. The 2006 Cabernet Franc Champoux Vineyard is purple/black in color with a complex bouquet of pencil lead, cinnamon, rosemary, cassis, and blackcurrant.
