Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Merlot Kenefick Ranch charges out of the gate with bold fruitcake, baked black plums and boysenberry preserves notes, plus hints of dark chocolate, licorice and scorched earth. The decadently velvety, full-bodied palate is laden with ripe black fruits, finishing long and spicy.

The 2018 Merlot Kenefick Ranch has a medium to deep garnet-purple color, wafting out of the glass with open-knit scents of baked black cherries, black plum preserves, boysenberries and oolong tea, giving way to spicy nuances of cumin seed and ground black pepper. The full-bodied palate is filled with spiced black fruit preserves, supported by rounded tannins and bold freshness, finishing on a lingering peppery note.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Merlot Kenefick Ranch has a closed, broody nose of plum preserves, spice cake and mincemeat pie with hints of forest floor and unsmoked cigars. The palate is full-bodied, firm and chewy with a good core of uncomplicated black fruits and a savory finish.
