One of the finest wines I have ever tasted from this producer, this powerful, dark ruby/purple-colored Chianti exhibits copious quantities of smoky, toasty scents intermixed with a Pomerol-like, mocha-infused, black cherry liqueur character. Rich and full-bodied, with a layered texture, decent acidity, superb purity, and a finish that lasts for 30-35 seconds, it should provide handsome drinking for 10-12+ years.
