A bottling that was discontinued because the company's Gimblett Gravels vineyards were restructured, the 2016 The Quarry returns with a bang. A blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 4% Merlot, it frames bold cassis fruit with classy pencil shavings. It's medium to full-bodied, rich, sturdy and concentrated, with dark fruit flavors wonderfully supported by velvety tannins and a long, layered finish. It should age well for at least 15 years.
