Sadly, the Andersons have lost their source of Chardonnay, the Fournier Vineyard in Carneros. The 2002 Chardonnay Fournier Vineyard will be the final offering from this vineyard, which has produced Corton-Charlemagne-like wines. It is not put through malolactic, so it has plenty of acidity. A light straw color with a greenish hue is followed by a big nose of stone fruits, minerals, and ripe but restrained tropical fruits. This stylish cuvee should age well given its acid profile. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. Tel. (707) 963-8600; Fax (707) 963-7818
