Dense, masculine, and muscular, the 1998 Barolo Brunate displays abundant quantities of blackberry and cherry liqueur aromas intertwined with vanilla, licorice, tobacco, and rose petals. Intense white truffle aromas, with grilled meat and ripe fruit underneath. Full-bodied, with wonderfully soft flavors of dried fruit and toasty oak that turn to coffee and chocolate.
