An old vine blend of Grenache that comes from vines planted in 1924, the 2012 Rasteau Heritage 1924 is another 2012 from this estate that shows the upfront, fruit loaded, rounded, sexy style of the vintage. Giving up loads of sweet black cherries, jammy blackberry, licorice and crushed rock, it’s full-bodied, seamless and even elegant, with fine tannin and good freshness. Aged all in concrete tank, it’s a gorgeous expression of Rasteau and will drink nicely for another 5-7 years.
