The 1982 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières is fully mature and some bottles are beginning to fray around the edges, but this example was fabulous, bursting with aromas of ripe orchard fruit, peach, orange oil, buttered toast, oatmeal and honeycomb. Full-bodied, ample and textural, it's sumptuous and satiny, with lively girdling acids and chalky structuring extract underpinning its lavish core of fruit. I'd be inclined to drink up.
