The awesome, black ruby-colored 1999 Pinot Noir East Block reveals an extravagant bouquet of black raspberries, cherry liqueur, and vanillin. Picked ripe, but with no sense of pruniness or hotness, this massive, full-bodied, unctuously-textured Pinot Noir is fabulously concentrated as well as beautifully balanced.
