Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2009 Shingleback Unedited Shiraz gives pronounced notes of creme de cassis, black cherry compote and warm blueberries with underlying hints of ground cumin, fenugreek, cloves and star anise. Very big, full bodied and powerful in the mouth, it has concentrated berry preserve and spice flavors that are well supported by medium to firm grainy tannins and refreshing acidity, finishing long and pure. Approachable now, it should cellar to 2020+. Importer: Precept Brands, Seattle WA
