The dark colored and super-ripe 1997 Nuits-St.-Georges Les Vaucrains possesses a fresh nose of suave black fruits. This satin-textured, broad, structured wine is reminiscent of blackberries, prunes, and figs, pureed in a blender. Medium to full-bodied, thick, and extremely ripe, it is a dense, in-your-face Pinot.
