This is a terrific wine, and a great value too. Peter Zemmer does a fine job with this fresh and food-friendly white wine. The 2016 Alto Adige Pinot Grigio opens to variety-special aromas of citrus, wild sage and natural rubber. Of course, Pinot Grigio is not a particularly aromatic grape, but this wine from the mountainous north of Italy presents more opulent and aromatic detailing. The finish is zesty and bright. This is a great near-term option to drink with fish or summer vegetables.
