The estate's 2004 L'Alberello reveals gorgeous, exotic Cabernet Franc aromas that lead to perfumed layers of dark fruit, black pepper, juniper berries and spices, with notes of sweet toasted oak that linger on the finish. The wine's vibrant color, open-knit texture and finessed tannins all make for an absolutely compelling glass of wine. L-Alberello is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot aged 18 months in French oak. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2024.
