A sign of the good things emerging from this estate is their very good 1995 Cotes du Rhone. An attractive dark ruby/garnet-colored wine with a peppery, spicy, fruitcake-scented nose, ripe berry fruit, medium body, and an overall sense of elegance, it will drink well over the next 3-4 years.This northern Chateauneuf du Pape estate has come on strong in the nineties since the son, Jean-Paul Daumen, took over for his father.
