The 2011 Crozes-Hermitage is lighter and more fruit-forward than the denser, more structured 2010 Crozes-Hermitage. The 2011 is also more charming and drinkable even though the 2010 may last longer. Drink the 2011 over the next 4-5 years. Two cuvees of St.-Joseph are produced, including Les Pierres (which comes from stony soils) and the Clos de Cuminaille (which is a true “Clos”).
