The 2010 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Talmettes is strikingly good, unfurling in the glass with notes of red and black berry fruit, orange peel, dark chocolate, espresso roast, peony and grilled squab. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, elegant and expansive, with melting tannins, succulent acids and a long, sapid finish. It's an impeccably balanced Savigny from one of Chisa Bize's favorite vintages.
