The 2015 Alto Adige Gewürztraminer Passito Juvelo (375 ml) opens to a light golden color and pretty luminosity. This is a sticky and succulent dessert wine with honeycomb, candied fruit and sun-dried apricot. The sugar content is pronounced, yet the wine is not cloying thanks to the bright acidity that pops up on the rear. This would be a nice companion to dried biscuits or apple tart. Some 90% of the grapes have been affected by noble rot.
