A real value, since it often sells for $10-12, although that might be higher now given the weak dollar, is Mas de Boislauzon’s 2001 Cotes du Rhone-Villages. As good as many Chateauneuf du Papes, it offers kirsch liqueur, balsam wood, pepper, and earth aromas as well as excellent texture, beautiful purity, and a delicious, layered style. Consume it over the next 2-4 years.Importer: Alain Junguenet, Wines of France, Mountainside, NJ; tel. (908) 654-6173
