A brilliant effort made by the masterful Peter Sisseck, this 100% French oak-aged offering boasts a dense ruby/purple color as well as superb aromas of melted chocolate, licorice, espresso, and black fruits. It possesses a character similar to Pingus, the Ribera del Duero that made Sisseck famous. Full-bodied and chewy, with tremendous purity, palate presence, and length, its sweet tannin and low acidity suggest drinking it now and over the next 10-12 years. For statisticians, it is a blend of 70% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Merlot.Importer: Eric Solomon, European Selections, Charlotte, NC; tel. (704) 358-1565
