The 2005 Proprietary Red Purisima Mountain Vineyard, a blend of Syrah and Grenache, is the most expensive wine in the Beckman portfolio. Possessing a Bordeaux-like structure imposed over its richness and intensity, it is the most backward effort and I suspect it is meant to age for 15 years or longer. Reserved, powerful, impressively endowed, and substantial, it will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring, and should keep for 12-15. Tel. (805) 688-8664; Fax (805) 688-9983
