The 2013 Genium Celler is very similar to the Ecologic, just a tad fresher. It's a multi-grape blend of 55% Garnacha, 20% Cari?ena, 15% Merlot and 10% Syrah with 15.5% alcohol.

The 2012 Genium Celler is 60% Garnacha, 20% Cari?ena, 10% Merlot, 5% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon with a super ripe profile and a touch of volatility and evolution.

The 2008 Genium Cellar is a blend of 60% Garnacha, 20% Carinena, 15% Merlot and 5% Syrah from eight different vineyards, aged in 20% new Allier oak for 10 months. It has a concentrated nose of dark plum, mulberry and a touch of leather that demand coaxing from the glass, while the palate is well-balanced with grippy, dry tannins that tend to dominate the finish. Drink now-2018. Genium Celler was formed in 2002 when six families pooled their resources. Together, they own 15 hectares of vine located in Poboleda, La Morera and Torroja, of which 3 hectares are farmed organically. The main focus is upon Garnacha and Carinena, complemented by Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. I found their wines to be unashamedly modern in style, generally well-crafted and for the most part, avoiding the overbearing nature and uncontained alcohol of some of their peers. The 2007 Genium is composed of 60% Garnacha, 20% Carinena, with the balance Merlot and Syrah. The Garnacha and Carinena were sourced from 90+-year-old vines. It was aged in 20% new French oak for 10 months. Asian spices, incense, balsamic, plum, and blackberry inform the nose of this layered, slightly racy style of Priorat. Juicy, concentrated, and nicely proportioned, it will evolve for 1-2 years and drink well through 2019. The 2006 Genium is a blend of 60% Garnacha, 20% Carinena, with the balance Merlot and Syrah. It was aged in 20% new French oak for 10 months and bottled without filtration. Purple-colored, it offers up a nose of cedar, mineral, pencil lead, and black cherry. Elegant and sweetly fruited, it has good grip, excellent length, and several years of aging potential.
