Mirassou's 1986 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a plummy/garnet-like color with some lightening at the edge. This medium-bodied wine offers an intriguing white chocolate and plum-scented nose, with a short finish, as high acidity once again rears its ugly head. Although pleasant, the wine is straightforward and simple. It should continue to drink well for 3-4 years. The tasting notes for this section are from two single blind tastings, one conducted in May, 1996, in California, and the other in June, 1996, in Baltimore.
