The 1993 Zinfandel Old Paint (from a 90-year old vineyard that was ripped out following this vintage) exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, and a bouquet of earth, minerals, spice, pepper, plums, and raspberries. Spicy, deep, full-bodied, and tannin, this is a forceful, well-knit, structured Zinfandel that should keep for a decade. I would be in no hurry to drink it since it still appears backward.I have had mixed emotions about Rocking Horse's wines in the past, but certainly the four reviewed in this segment acquitted themselves well.Tel.
