The 2006 Grenache comes across as accurately done. It is a big, heady wine (15.7% alcohol), but Grenache has to get very ripe before one gets much out of it. This wine is dark plum-colored, with plenty of sweet and sour cherry notes intermixed with dusty, earthy aromas as well as hints of resin and seaweed. A little pepper also makes an appearance in this medium to full-bodied wine, with large amounts of glycerin, giving it a nice, fleshy texture in the mouth. www.sansliege.com
