The 2020 Wolfer Goldgrube Riesling Sp?tlese is very clear, deep, refined but heavily reductive on the nose that shows ripe and well-defined, very precise and elegant fruit intertwined with crushed slate aromas. Piquant and stimulatingly salty on the palate, this is a sensationally salivating Sp?tlese with a round and elegant fruit texture and very delicate, crystalline and gorgeous acidity. This is a mind-blowing Sp?tlese, of which collectors will need at least a dozen cases. Nobody among us will see this wine beyond its peak. 8.5% stated alcohol and 72 grams of residual sugar. Tasted in October 2021.
