The 2007 Sauvignon is one of the stronger wines in this lineup. Schiopetto is based in Capriva, a highly regarded micro-climate for Sauvignon, and this wine captures typical varietal notes in the rich, ripe style of this vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010. This is an excellent Sauvignon from Northeast Italy that stays true to the variety with aromas of cut grass, kiwi, citrus and passion fruit. The aromatic intensity is impressive and the wine is compact and refreshingly crisp and vibrant in the mouth.——M.L.(11/1/2010)—— 90
