The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon “Bos” has a less saturated color, but similar aromatics. On the palate it is more compact and lacks the breadth of the 2003. The estate’s flagship wine is called “Empyrean” and is only released in top vintages.
Reschke, whose first vintage in 1998 was well received in this journal, has emerged as the rising star of Coonawarra, a region in need of an infusion of new blood. The winery specializes in Cabernet Sauvignon but makes one white wine from the Limestone Coast.
