The tightly-knit and compact, deep ruby/plum-colored 2001 Zinfandel Cortina exhibits a peppery, earthy bouquet revealing notes of balsam wood, spice box, pepper, and briery fruit. Medium-bodied, with a well-endowed, moderately deep personality, it will drink well for 4-5 years. Kudos to the Seghesio family.
