Fashioned entirely from Pommard clone vines, the 2002 Pinot Noir Cuvee du Tonnelier was aged in 25% new oak barrels. Medium to dark ruby-colored, it exhibits a nose of dark fruits, primarily black cherries. On the palate, this medium-bodied wine is satin-textured, suave, reveals copious quantities of blackberries, cassis, as well as dark cherries and exquisitely ripe (almost sweet) yet present tannin. Projected maturity: 2007-2014.
