With 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and smaller parts Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Sangiovese, the 2011 Bolgheri Rosso deals a mixture of herb, spice, black olive and gritty berry aromas. It feels full and plump: Light toast and black fruit dominate the flavor profile. There-s a touch of bitter chocolate and even a distant whiff of sour citrus. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2020.
