The Colins waited four days after harvesting their other parcels before starting in the cooler, later-ripening Puligny-Montrachet Le Trezin. The 2001 reveals mineral, stone, and floral aromas as well as a satin-textured, light to medium-bodied character. It has a lush, mineral-dominated character of appealing depth, yet lacks the staying power of Pierre-Yves’s finest 2001s. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.
