Slightly more lifted and peppery than the Stone bottling, Elephant Hill's 2017 Airavata Syrah similarly includes a smidge of Viognier (1%). It's plummy and spicy on the nose, with hints of fresh blueberries and violets acting to keep it lively and fresh. Medium to full-bodied, it's rich and velvety on the palate, with terrific depth and texture on the lingering finish.
